[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Oh my goodness. I get really excited about food. All the time. Yep, all the time. This place was introduced to us through friends whom we met in May this year (2016) when we were visiting Hong Kong.
This is a steam pot concept that the consumer basically steams their food (seafood and/or meat) on the steam basket, and within the pot under the basket, there is uncooked rice with certain ingredients and stock. Through the steaming of the food, the juices/essence will drip through the basket into the boiling rice under it. Throughout the entire process of steaming and eating, the rice cooks in the food juices and turns into flavoursome congee! Did I hear ‘congee’?? SOLD! I wanted it immediately! Anyway, we had to wait till now to try, and we did! I was impressed!
What simple food cooking concept that is fuss-free, and you get tasty food. You can eat without feeling guilty! The sauces that were provided gives the food a bit more flavour if you wanted them, but they were already filled with natural goodness that the sauces were not necessary. The congee we had ginseng and goji berries and stock. It was one of their latest flavours for the congee… it was superb!
I highly recommend this place. Head over to the old Turf Club at Upper Timah Road and get yourself some steam food and delicious conger to end the meal!
