It’s been a while since my last visit to Keyaki Japanese (Hokkaido) Restaurant, in Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore. The last time was with my mum maybe almost two decades ago. I remember Keyaki had fantastic food… and it still has! The dinner was a treat from the Sales Manager from Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore whom we have never met. He wanted to buy us dinner as we have been staying at the hotel for a few years now. We are frequent visitors of the hotel.

We ordered the Fuku set each which is the chef’s selection of Amuse Bouche, Appetiser, Clear Soup, Sashimi, Grilled Course, Tomezara, Sushi, Miso Soup and Dessert. We also there in the grilled cod with miso and the grilled scallop. With the Fuku set, we were at the mercy of the chef as we sat and chatted away about anything and everything. The dinner menu of Keyaki can be downloaded here.

I was impressed with how compact it is!

What made it more excitable was that my parents and Cameron were there to watch it take off! At MacRitchie Reservoir Park, Dad was particularly excited as well, and he was also impressed by the speed it went and the distance it covered. Here are some of the shots and videos. It’s a pity that my polarised lens did not arrive in time…

One day last week, Cam and I woke up early to catch the Singapore sunrise. We grabbed our DJI Phantom 4 and went to the back to Marina Barrage to fly it. We wanted to catch the sunrise and also have lesser people around to annoy us. Also, a sleepy Singapore would be a nice shot to capture. It’s been a while since we have seen a good Singapore sunrise… and we were not disappointed! Sunrise in Singapore was beautiful. Just take a look at some of the photo and video footage below!
