Birds Of A Feather | Newport, Melbourne, Australia

Over the weekend, we stumbled across this Birds of a Feather cafe beside Newport train station in Melbourne while in the area attending property inspections. It was an early inspection and we thought we should get something to eat. Cam had ham cheese and tomato croissant with coffee to go, and we were surprised by the quality of food and the attractiveness of the items they had on the menu. We decided to head back there for lunch when we had a break between inspections.

Customers can be absolutely painful. ABSOLUTELY PAINFUL.

Annoying customers

What a pain in the bottom!

Recently, I had a customer who purchased two Wesco products from my Homeware Secrets business. She was an absolutely painful person.

What happened? – you may ask.

On 27 April 2017, Angela (name changed for privacy purposes) emailed indicating that there was a scratch on the lid of the orange Wesco Spaceboy XL 35L Waste Bin that she received that afternoon. She demanded for a lid replacement. As a business person, we do think about the customers, but also think about the cost it will be for us to send another one, especially if it was found to be a damage that was done by the customer. Customer may be right, but there are seriously some arseholes out there who will take advantage of the system.

Easter long weekend is always good for relaxing and doing nothing much, but what it is not good for is the availability of food, especially in a town like Geelong. On Easter Monday, we decided to go around looking for some place to eat, also finding an excuse to get out of the house for some fresh air. Basically, over that long weekend, we finished off two TV series – 13 Reasons Why on Netflix and Imposters on Stan. When we were driving about, we found most of our favourite places closed for the holidays, which made us choose the places that we have never really thought of going to. Pakington Cottage was one of them.

We were driving around Williamstown and surrounds one morning over the weekend and we wanted to look fo a cafe for coffee for Cam. We found Kodama Coffee around the corner from one of the main streets and we saw a number of people in it, and a number of people walking away with takeaway coffee cups. So we figured that we should try it out to see what the fuss was all about.

Belle’s Hot Chicken | Fitzroy, Melbourne, Australia

Brown’s the word

My bestie was in town over the weekend from Sydney and he wanted to suss out the original Belle’s Hot Chicken store in Melbourne. There are a few stores that this restaurant opened and the first one is in Fitzroy. The place looked like a diner which was a nice touch compared regular restaurants. We were given a booth seat and we started to look through the extremely short menu in front of us. Even their drinks menu is longer than the food menu.
