[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It was my (Andre’s) birthday yesterday and my parents and my beautiful man, Cam, surprised me with dinner at Golden Peony, which is listed in Singapore Tatler’s Best Restaurants Guide for 2014 and 2015, as well as Wine&Dine Singapore’s Top Restaurants Guide for 2015.
What a great night we had with a variety of great dishes served one after the other. Soup, noodles, ‘London Duck’ (that melted i our mouths)… what a treat! The starting dish, however was exciting! It was the suckling pig!
They have cooked the suckling pig so well! The skin was crispy and did not have a lot of fat under the skin… well, not as much as some other suckling pig that we have had. I know that some people may find it horrible to have a whole pig sitting on a plate on the take… still looking like a pig, with legs, ears, and snout all in tact. Ours looks like it was in a ‘Superman flying pose’ which made ma laugh a little. Hahaha.
