Birds Of A Feather | Newport, Melbourne, Australia

Birds of a Feather featured image

Over the weekend, we stumbled across this Birds of a Feather cafe beside Newport train station in Melbourne while in the area attending property inspections. It was an early inspection and we thought we should get something to eat. Cam had ham cheese and tomato croissant with coffee to go, and we were surprised by the quality of food and the attractiveness of the items they had on the menu. We decided to head back there for lunch when we had a break between inspections.

Customers can be absolutely painful. ABSOLUTELY PAINFUL.

Annoying customers

What a pain in the bottom!

Recently, I had a customer who purchased two Wesco products from my Homeware Secrets business. She was an absolutely painful person.

What happened? – you may ask.

On 27 April 2017, Angela (name changed for privacy purposes) emailed indicating that there was a scratch on the lid of the orange Wesco Spaceboy XL 35L Waste Bin that she received that afternoon. She demanded for a lid replacement. As a business person, we do think about the customers, but also think about the cost it will be for us to send another one, especially if it was found to be a damage that was done by the customer. Customer may be right, but there are seriously some arseholes out there who will take advantage of the system.

We are concerned and confused

We knew our surrogate was on a variety of prescription drugs but it was only in the last couple of months when she started to explain what those drugs were for, especially when she mentioned that through her medical screening, CReATe Fertility Centre wanted her to reduce or remove her reliance on those drugs. We told Hope that we did not want her to rush into anything, and she informed us that her doctor would be the one to advise her on gradually reducing the drug intake.

Egg donor is ready for meds for egg retrieval

Ready or not baby

Egg Donor is ready

After the last post where we mentioned that the egg donor was cleared, she MIA-ed for a few weeks due to exams that she had to take. After that, she indicated to CReATe Fertility Centre that she was ready to go through the egg donation medication. Hilary, our nurse coordinator at the clinic wanted to try to tie in a time when we would be in Canada for embryo creation but we could only give her a rough time. Hilary felt that we should be good to be there at the end of June for the egg retrieval and embryo creation. Our egg donor is an anonymous donor, so we won’t be seeing her at all.
